Hello and welcome to a special Sunday edition of the Friday Mash-up! Now with new lateness!

Here’s Deema as Psylocke.

Here’s the comparison to the original. I kind of prefer the psychic effects of the original more than the remake. It’s very difficult to reproduce those effects for me because I’m not even sure how I did the original. The rest is obviously better.

That’s all for this week. More mash-ups next week!

Hello, it’s Friday and I’m not waiting until after work to post the flashback because lord only knows that hasn’t ended well the last few weeks! 🙂

Here’s Red Rich as Nightcrawler with and without the BAMF effect.

Here’s a comparison to the original. The original’s BAMF effect was so much wider for no real reason. Here the effect work is stronger in the remake.

That’s all for this week. More X-Men to follow next Friday!

Hey it’s Saturday! Time to upload the post that should have gone up yesterday! Flashback to Flashback Friday!

Here’s Zoë as Jean Grey when she was the Phoenix.

Here’s a comparison to the original. This is a case where the original almost outshines the remake in my view. The lines are definitely stronger in the remake, but the phoenix effect in the first one just worked better. It’s something I couldn’t quite replicate.

That’s all for this week. Have a great weekend folks!

Hello and welcome to a special “James forgot to post on Friday” Saturday edition of Flashback Friday.

I don’t really have a lot to say about the X-Men. I chose them to be colourful.

Here’s Barnaby as Colossus. I REALLY like how the metal colouring turned out on him.

Here’s a comparison to the original mash-up. I had moved into my more detailed style here but I hadn’t smoothed out my lines yet. Still very shaky. But I think the Colossus piece was pretty good for back then.

That’s all for this week. More mutant mayhem next weekend. See you then!

Creepy greetings and crawly salutations all. It’s time for some more Hallowe’en fun!

This week we have a mummy, a skeleton and a ghost, played by Big Oonch, Sass and Zoë respectively.

Here’s Zoë as the ghost. I really didn’t know how to colour this one. It’s..alright.

Here’s Big Oonch as a mummy. He had a little trouble with the bandages.

Here’s Sass as a skeleton. This is my favorite of the three. I get a flashback of the original Karate Kid looking at it.

That’s all for this week. The final spooky chapter comes next Wednesday just in time for Hallowe’en!
