If you’re happy and you know it, say you’re happy. If you’re happy and you know it, say you’re happy. If you’re happy and you know it and you really wanna show it. If you’re happy and you know it, check out a mash-up. (Gotcha!)

Clearly, this wasn’t the mash-up I teased last week. But I’ve been painting X-Men United miniatures which put me in an X-Men mood so this got bumped up in the queue! The posing is simple, but mixed with the expression, I really like this one.

That’s all for this week! More mash-ups next Wednesday!

Hey! Before I forget, here’s this week’s mash-up!

So Storm has never been one of my favorite X-Men. That’s why I skipped her in the first series of mash-ups. I really couldn’t find someone whose costume I wanted to do, so I finally picked her for Chae. All said, this didn’t turn out too badly.

That’s all for this week! More new stuff next week!

The weekend almost slipped by without me remembering to post the last X-Men Flashback. Almost.

Here’s Sass and Mouser as Shadowcat and Lockheed. I started shading this piece and had finished Sass when horror of horrors, the software crashed. I couldn’t recover the work so I had to start over. What a pain in the rear. But I’m really happy with the final results.

Here’s a comparison to the original mash-up. I changed the wall of the original piece to match the new one. I chose note to redo the dust effect.

That’s all for this week. A new X-Men piece will go up next week!

Hey! It’s Friday and I’m not working so I have time to post the Flashback. Of course, I wasn’t working yesterday and I forgot to post the strip, but there was a party I needed to prepare for, so…yeah.

It’s time for Rogue to make an appearance, sugah! Interesting (to me) story! I finished inking and colouring the picture a while ago. Something was off. I’d really struggled with the legs When I came to shade the piece, last week, I had to rework it. I completely redid everything below the belt several times. I’m not 100% satisfied still, but it’s a lot better than it was before. Oh and I still love shading red hair. Officially, I believe Rogue is supposed to have brown hair, but sometimes it looks red and so I went there.

Here’s the comparison to the original. I think one of the most striking differences is the dimensions of the character. Because I was trying to ape a comic book pose, I fudged on Nektara’s dimensions in the original. In the remake, I tried to adapt that same pose to work with Nektara’s actual dimensions. It’s still somewhat of a cheat, but not as obvious this time around.

That’s all for this week. More stuff next week!
