Hey! It’s Sorry About That Saturday! Because I totally spaced on posting yesterday. I’ve got some stuff going on that I’ll talk more about in a future blog post.

So I decided to tackle the Ronin Warriors again. The originals were just alright at the time and I even wrote in the original post that I didn’t think I did a good enough job adapting the armor designs to fit my characters so they all had their proportions changed. I’m hoping I did a better job this time around. I know the pictures will look sharper. I’m not adding any of my traditional shading to the pictures. Some light cell shading is all I can manage right now. The armors are detailed enough you may want to click on the picture to see a closeup (if you like that kind of thing). Last thing, I’m sticking with the English dub names. And with that, let’s get started.

Here we have Zoë in the Wildfire armor. While she’s small, Zoë’s proportions fit the armor better than others. The longer legs help.

And to complete the flashback, let’s compare the new piece to the original which was done seven years ago. Right off the bat, I went with a simpler pose. Her face is much more recognizable with the helmet on now.

That’s it for this week. Next Friday, we’ll revisit the Armor of Halo. Have a good weekend!

Here we go!

In Trap Team, the Skylanders team decided to introduce two new elements: Light and Dark. They’re vastly outnumbered by the other elements that got several games FULL of characters while Trap Team only gave the new elements a couple of characters each. So they weren’t even on par with the elements in their introductory game. Still, the designs were cool.

Here we have Knight Light of the Light element, played by Zoë. Whenever there are wings to be worn, Zoë is there. There’s a whole lot of white in this costume. I gave the sword a much bluer tint just to add some colour.

That’s all for this week. Have a super week and we’ll see a new Skylanders mash-up next Wednesday!

What up peeps! Time for some mash-up to the max! Let’s see if this posts properly this week.

Here we have our little Zoë as Setzer. Working with fabric, particularly overcoats, is still a challenge.

That’s all for this week. Some more mashin’ next Wednesday.

Hey! Flashback time!

Here’s Zoë as Sailor Moon.

Here’s the comparison to the original piece. When I did the original, it turns out I used Sailor Venus’ uniform from later in the series after her powers evolved or some such. As I didn’t do any of the other pieces in that costume, I decided to do the remake in the classic costume.

That’s all for this week! More fun stuff next week!
