Hello there, mash-up viewer. Time to give you a mash-up to view. Click on the pic to make it big(ger).

Armello is all about the cards. Well maybe not, but they play a big part. There are still cards I haven’t seen yet because they’re adding new ones all the time. You get an album that you can flip through to see all the cards, which is nice because the art is stunning. I’m ever close to filling my album, but not there yet.

Sargon is of the Rat Clan. He’s a dark magician of some sort, really creepy looking. So Creepyfur (as Deema calls him) is the perfect choice to play him! Well, that and Sargon has a headpiece that covers his eyes.

That’s all for this week. More Armello next Wednesday!

Hi folks! It’s time for another Age of Animus Mash-up! I’m your host, Carja.

The soundtrack to Armello is pretty sweet. It’s one of the few games I don’t mind leaving the music on for as I play even over marathon sessions. It’s very soothing.

Here’s Deema as Elyssia of the Rabbit Clan. Elyssia had something of a tinkerer vibe to her with the tool belt, so it kinda fits with Deema.

That’s all for this week. More Armello next week!

Good time period. Time to make the donuts. But before that, let’s check out a mash-up.

Part of the fun in Armello is the three different decks of cards you can draw from each turn. Your hand size is equal to your wits so I’m partial to characters with high wits scores so I can go through a lot of cards to get the really nifty ones. There are equipment cards, magic spells and tricks (not official names). You can draw cards to match your play style. You’ll want a high spirit score to use the best spells and you’ll need a little cash to use some of the nastier tricks.

Here’s Red Rich as Hargrave. Rich has lost a paw before in the steampunk series so it’s nothing new for him to have to hide one for the sake of a new costume. The face guard was the most difficult piece to adapt to my characters’ dimensions.

That’s all for this week. Discover more Armello next Wednesday!

Wednesday morning, and it’s time to post a mash-up!

You can play Armello online against other human players, but I don’t really enjoy playing that way. It’s much too slow waiting for people I can’t see or interact with (not well anyway). Logically it’s no different from playing a physical board game at a table, but being around a table with others FEELS different and at least I know the people I’m playing with so it doesn’t feel as bad.

Here’s Barnaby as Ghor of the Bear Clan. Ghor has such a simple design and yet it was so tricky to draw because of Barnaby’s dimensions, particularly his head. This is the best I could manage.

That’s all for this week. More from Armello next Wednesday!

Hello and welcome back to the Wednesday Mash-up…how long has it been since something has gone up on a Wednesday? A while for sure. It’s been a while since I’ve said it, but remember you can click on a picture to switch to a close-up view.

Armello is a digital board game and it is beautiful. One of the things I was most happy about having to upgrade my computer when my old one fried was that I would be able to play it without my computer overheating (that’s how bad my old computer had gotten). Armello features anthropomorphic animals (no appeal there) in a fantasy setting (strike two) and, I’ll repeat because I cannot stress it enough, it’s a board game! Players choose a character from one of five clans: Rabbit, Rat, Wolf, Bear or Bandit. Their chosen champion tries to win the game through having more prestige than all the others when the king dies from the Rot (the most simple way to win), by becoming corrupted by the Rot and defeating the king, by simply defeating the king, or by collecting four spirit stones and ridding the king of the Rot (which still kills him). I’ll talk more about Armello in future installments.

Zosha is a member of the Rat clan. So she’s a rodent and her name starts with a Z. Yup, that had Zoë written all over it. Here she is dressed as Zosha. Her big ears often prove a challenge for whatever costume I want to put her in. Zosha had ear holes in her hat, I had to widen them a fair bit and of course, only the tips of Zoë’s ears poke through.

That’s all for this week. We’ll dig a little deeper into Armello next Wednesday!
