Good Wednesday folks! Time for a mash-up!

Where there is Light, there is also Dark. These were the two new elements introduced in Skylanders: Trap Team. Last week we saw Light, so this week, we counterbalance with Dark.

Here is Barnaby as Nightfall. This was a daunting picture to colour because of the jacket’s quasi-metallic effects but especially the hair tendrils which are supposed to be a little translucent. I think it turned out fairly well.

That’s all for this week. Come back next Wednesday for a look at another Skylander.

Here we go!

In Trap Team, the Skylanders team decided to introduce two new elements: Light and Dark. They’re vastly outnumbered by the other elements that got several games FULL of characters while Trap Team only gave the new elements a couple of characters each. So they weren’t even on par with the elements in their introductory game. Still, the designs were cool.

Here we have Knight Light of the Light element, played by Zoë. Whenever there are wings to be worn, Zoë is there. There’s a whole lot of white in this costume. I gave the sword a much bluer tint just to add some colour.

That’s all for this week. Have a super week and we’ll see a new Skylanders mash-up next Wednesday!

Gooooooood morning! Or another time part if’n that’s the case. Time for a mash-up.

I was going to start by saying that Flameslinger was only in the first Skylanders game, but I decided to do some fact checking before I moved on and wouldn’t you know, he was in Giants as well. So yay fact checking! By that I mean that he only had new figures made for the first two games. You could of course use your existing figures in all games.

So Flameslinger covers his eyes, right? Who else but Big Oonch to play him? It occurs to me now as I’m writing this that I could have coloured his fur green like I did for Nektara as Stealth Elf. Oops!

That’s all for this week. More Skylanders next Wednesday.

Wednesday morning. Time to post the mash-up. Let’s not forget to click Publish today. Sound good?

I’d say Stealth Elf is arguably the most popular Skylander. She was heavily featured in every game and in the cartoon.

Here’s Nektara as Stealth Elf. All that brown is kinda dull, but I love the blue hair.

That’s all for this week. Have a good one!

Heeeeeeey! It’s Wednesday! Time to share a mash-up! And it’s a new theme! Neeeeeat! And just because I want to add another exclamation mark… !

The Skylanders franchise was amazing. I loved getting new characters and trying them out in the game. The figures were beautifully designed. All around fun. But they kinda overdid it and I burned out on it. I punched out at Superchargers. I bought the base game and some of the figures on deep discount but I never finished it. I bought Imaginators and didn’t get figures and didn’t even start the game. I just figured I’d get them so I could play them if I so chose. Now obviously to do a mash-up theme, I had to choose Skylanders that wear clothes, that disqualifies some of my favorites like Trigger Happy and Whirlwind and made for some choices I wouldn’t have otherwise made like this week’s entry.

Here’s Deema as Dino-Rang. Green lizard character with a long tail…yeah that lines up. It’s a little on the simple side so that’s why I’m putting this one up first. In theory, the set gets better from here!

So who’ll be next week? Will your favorite Skylander make the cut? Come back every Wednesday to find out!
