Happy Monday! He said, when Monday was closer to being over than it was to beginning. I trust everyone is well and enjoyed their weekend.
I had a pretty good weekend myself. I was invited to a little gathering of friends at Zone 51 to celebrate a friend’s birthday. It had been over a month and a half if not two months since I’d been able to go to the Zone so I had a LOT of comics waiting for me. I really need to go more regularly so as to avoid having to plunk down huge chunks of change at one time. I also thought it would be an opportune time to pick up some more long boxes to store my comics in. This was the third time I’d told myself I needed to pick some up and it was the third time that I completely spaced and forgot to do so. Well, here’s to hoping I remember when I go back on Thursday!
It was a nice get-together with friends, Rock Band and cake! It’s always a treat to spend some time with my friends. The cake was also a treat that was coffee and chocolate flavoured and really good but also REALLY rich! I had one slice and would have been hard-pressed to eat another. As for Rock Band, my experience is very limited. The majority of the song library were out of my wheelhouse, but I did find a couple of songs to sing since I’m just a karaoking fool.
On Sunday, it was out to the lake to my mother’s cabin for a barbecue. My aunt Liz is in town from Nova Scotia and it’s been a few years since I’ve had a chance to see her so it was nice to be able to do so. My mother had already introduced her to my site, but I was able to talk a little bit more about what it is I’m doing. I gave her a set of the postcards I made for Free Comic Book Day to take back to Nova Scotia with her. We’ll all be getting back together this week for supper at my sister’s.
Add a little drawing to all that and that was my weekend. With that, this week’s blog is concluded! Have a good week folks!
