Hello friends. It’s that time of year again. Can you believe it’s been eight years since I started working on this website? I’ve had my ups and downs and I’ve managed to produce content through both. These next few months are going to be challenging as I’m working on some long-needed life changes but I work ahead so apart from my usual absentmindedness, there should be no interruption in posting.
There’s no commemorative strip this year. I’ve decided to scale back on those as I used to have two or three per year which made them less special. The next big milestone will be 1000 strips which will occur sometime during my tenth year of doing this. I have faith I’ll get there.
I’m happy to have progressed as an artist over the years. I do comparisons of the mash-ups all the time. This time I thought I’d compare a strip from the first year to one from this year. Since this year has been all about Big Oonch and Sass, I chose strips that feature them and Cyran, my first character.
So that’s the very first strip to include all three characters and the second most recent strip to feature them. Quite a jump. I’m still finding myself as an artist. The evolution never ends really so long as I keep on drawing.
Speaking of drawing, I want to get in a quick sketch for the next piece in this Ronin Warriors flashback set, since I didn’t get one done over the weekend. Have some good sevens and we’ll do this again soon! Take care!
