From the journal of\u00a0 Ardebast Raconteur:<\/em><\/p>\n

I met the fox, Todrick, on one of my trips through Verdant, the City in the Treetops. He\u2019s an earnest young fur, and quite likeable.<\/p>\n

Furs don\u2019t often make their home in Verdant. That\u2019s what makes Todrick so unusual. To add to his mystique, noone, not even Todrick himself, remembers how he came to live there. Todrick is an orphan with not even the slightest idea as to his origins, so in his case it\u2019s forgiveable, and of course, the Avian are not known for their memories.<\/p>\n

I can see it in Todrick\u2019s eyes that he yearns for more. Someday I expect he will leave Verdant in search of\u2026well, I don\u2019t know what exactly. Adventure perhaps? I would suspect that finding out where he comes from might be a motivation as well.<\/p>\n

Todrick first appears as a fur that Nektara encounters in the first of a series of three birthday stories I wrote for my friends, but I had the idea for him much earlier.<\/p>\n

Foxes are my favorite animals, so it was a no-brainer that one of my characters would be a fox. His name is a nod to Todd from Disney\u2019s The Fox and the Hound.<\/p>\n

While there\u2019s a little of me in all my characters, I\u2019d say Todrick, as he appears in the Funnies, is the one that I\u2019m most like: He\u2019s somewhat of a spaz with a short attention span. I didn\u2019t originally intend for him to turn out that way, but found him taking that role the more I wrote him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
