By the power of the Moon, I will stop you…from leaving this page without checking out this week’s mash-up!

The year of Mina continues with us revisiting the Sailor Moon theme. Koan was a member of the Black Moon Clan, the main villains of season 2 of the anime. She’s dressed in purple which was enough for me to choose her for this piece. The original pose I was going for was to have Mina’s right foot in front of the left, but it wasn’t working out, so I settled for this plain standing pose instead.

Shadowrun – Number Won

It’s time once again for us to visit pop culture through the lens of the Animus cast. It’s mash-ups!

I didn’t know how to go for Mina in Shadowrun. I think she’d be a Face, because she thinks she looks amazing. And she does look pretty good here in her gear. It’s rare that I say I think I did a good job on the feet, but I like what I did with the feet here. Have I turned a corner? Only time will tell!

Dungeons & Dragons – Warlock

You enter…a dungeon and there you meet…a weasel. You thought I was going to say “dragon”, didn’t you? Let it not be said that I am entirely predictable. Mostly predictable? Sure! Hackneyed? Obviously! But not ENTIRELY predictable. Nay! That is a line that I will not cross! Anyway! On to the mash-up!

Warlocks, wizards and sorcerers are all magic users. It’s tough to make them visually distinctive from one another. I’ve done the wizard and the sorcerer and here’s Mina as a warlock. When I hear “warlock” I immediately think “dark” so that’s what I went with here. Mina’s long, thin neck doesn’t lend itself well to hoods, so I went with a different covering for just her ears. I don’t hate it.

That’s all for this week. I may be sticking with the roleplaying motif for next week’s installment. What does that mean? Pore over the archives to find out! Or you know, come back next Wednesday! But the former means my page hits go up so I wouldn’t mind that at all!

Hey time for a mash-up!

So this is really funny. When I drew my Mina – Avengers mash-up, I realized that I had not drawn Skitter or Chae as Avengers so I figured I’d do them now. I drew Skitter as Vision which you saw last week and then it was supposed to Chae’s turn, only I forgot and drew Mina again. It’s only as I was preparing this post that I realized my mistake. Rather than let all that work go to waste, I went back modified it into Chae. Since the Mina piece is finished though I figure I may as well show that too. I know Mina will say she wears it better, but what do you all think?

Hey now! It’s time for some mash-up fun! Let’s get to it!

I started this a few weeks back but then decided to go with another theme that week so I pushed this back…and forgot all about it. I was looking through the themes I had left to add Mina to and when I got to the Avengers, I thought, “Wait, didn’t I do Scarlet Witch already?” And then I realized I never finished it. So here it is now! Not too bad all things considered!
