Hey there peoples! It turns out I was a little rushed this morning and totally forgot to post this week’s mash-up. I got back home from work and nearly forgot again. Now that I’ve remembered, let’s get right to it!

The Guardians of the Galaxy theme continues this week. As always, click on the picture to enlarge it.

I hesitated between casting Zoë as Nebula or Yondu. As you can see, Nebula won out. I couldn’t find a good full-body picture of Nebula, so I cheated for her feet and went with plain black boots. I had SO much trouble making it seem like one leg was slightly ahead of the other. It is what it is.

Nebula

That’s all for this week. As for Yondu? You’ll get to see that mash-up next week! With only two girls left in the main cast to go, who will it be?

It’s Friday before a three-day weekend (Canadian Thanksgiving yo!) and that’s just cool. Let us commence this anticipatory day of celebration with a flashback!

It’s Cobra Friday again. Somehow despite my best efforts to avoid it, I scheduled two flashbacks from the same theme one after the other. Oh well. Cobra fans rejoice! As always, click on a picture to enlarge it.

Big Oonch was chosen for Scrap-Iron because of the sweet helmet he wears. It was weird making him kneel because Oonch is already so short.

Here’s the action figure card design.

And here’s the comparison to the original mash-up. Looking back, Scrap-Iron was probably one of the more solid mash-ups from that period.

That’s all for this week. Next week, you have something Star Trek-y to look forward to. Have a great weekend everybody!

Hello peoples! It is now time for the Mash-up of the Wednesdays! Let us get to the fun, yes?

As advertised, it’s Guardians of the Galaxy again this week. If you wanna see a closeup of the picture, you know what to do right? Correct! You click on it!

The main villain in the movie was Ronan the Accuser and who’s more fitting to play the villain than the utterly imposing Cyran? Of course I traded Ronan’s giant hammer for a giant wrench.

Ronan

That’s all for this week. It’s been a while since we’ve seen Zoë so next week, it’s her turn! See you next Wednesday for the reveal!

Hello friends! I hope you’re all enjoying your Saturday. The Guardians of the Galaxy theme isn’t over yet, but I brought the heroes of the theme together for a group shot.

As happened with the Teen Titans group picture, I had to redo someone’s eyes, this time Red Rich’s, so that he wouldn’t be looking in a completely other direction than everybody else because that just looks weird. The sizes play different from the real Guardians of the Galaxy obviously but it still makes for a fun group picture. Click on it to enlarge it.

Greetings folks and welcome to another edition of Flashback Friday. It’s always good to have you!

“Crashing through the sky, comes a fearful cry – Kitty! Kitty!”

It’s Cobra time again this week (and next week). This time, Todrick is here as Dr. Mindbender. As is often the case for me, it was tricky to get the legs and feet just right. Don’t forget to click on a picture to enlarge it.

Mindbender

Here’s his action figure card. I wasn’t able to think of any witty take on the name this time around.

Dr

And as always, here’s the comparison to the original mash-up. One thing I liked about the original were the gold badges holding his cape in place. I went with a different shape this time around which is a little cuter/sillier and silver instead of gold. The elegance of the older design is probably better but that’s the only thing that’s better from the original.

That’s all for this week. Have a greet weekend everybody! New Cobra flashback next week!
