League of Legends – Irelia

Hi there everybody! It’s mash-up time! Let us commence mashing!

It’s week 3 of League of Legends and things are going well. Not as well as I was hoping but well enough. I gotta keep pushing myself right? As always, click on a picture to enlarge it.

Irelia wasn’t my first choice for Zoë. I did my first pass through the character list with info from Wikipedia and a Yahoo! picture search, assigned League of Legends characters to each member of the cast then started drawing the first mash-up. Sometime before drawing the second I went through the League of Legends site to make sure I hadn’t missed any characters I liked better. I shuffled some costumes around and Zoë went from Vi to Irelia. I dig the ear covers.

Flashback Friday – The Flash

Hello Flashback Friday Fans. I totally spaced out this morning and forgot to post this week’s edition and I’ve been out all day. Hopefully the wait will have been worth it.

This week is a superhero week. As always click on a picture you want to see close up.

Cyran got another DC costume back in the beginning. The first was Batman and the second was the Flash. You saw Batman a few weeks ago. Now it’s time for the fastest bunny alive. To change things up, like I did for the Green Arrow flashback, I chose the costume from the current Flash TV show.

I also saved a version without the speed lines trailing him.

And here’s the comparison to the original mash-up. It was one of my favorites of that set because of the idea I had to use Cyran’s ears as a substitute for the lightning bolts on the sides of his mask. I obviously reused the idea in the remake.

Hello and good Wednesday to you all! It’s time for a mash-up and a mash-up you shall have! Let us commence!

The League of Legends theme continues on this week. It’s going to be an intricate series to draw I believe. Lots of details. Definitely worth a click to enlarge.

Big Oonch is Talon. Lee Sin would have been a good choice since his eyes are always covered, but after doing Xin Zhao, I wasn’t eager to do another Asian-influenced costume right away. His costumes seemed a little bland as well. Talon was a more interesting choice to draw.

Flashback Friday – Yoda

Hello Flashback Friends. It’s Friday, isn’t it wonderful? I’ve been ready for Friday since Tuesday and finally it’s here. The first step towards having a good Friday is to do a flashback and here’s mine!

It’s already Star Wars time again. That was quick. I have quite a few repeat themes coming up as we enter the final stretch of flashbacks. As always, a click will enlarge the picture.

Deema as Yoda came about since Yoda is green and so is Deema. Not very deep reasoning huh? In case it’s not entirely clear from the picture, she’s wearing fake ears with plastic wraps that rest on her antennae.

League of Legends – Xin Zhao

Hello mash-up fans! Ready for a new installment? I thought so. Let’s get to it!

New theme starts this week. I didn’t know what direction to go in this time around. I have a list of themes I might want to do at some point, but apparently that point wasn’t now because I wasn’t feeling any of them. League of Legends popped up as something that might be interesting. I’ve never played, but from all the cosplays I’ve seen, there are some great designs in that game. So that’s where we are. As always click on the picture to enlarge it.

Red Rich is first up as Xin Zhao. This is an instance where I think I was able to establish a little depth while playing around with line thickness.
