Wednesday confirmed! It’s Mash-up time!

We’re getting close to the end of the steampunk theme. This week is the last of the main cast. Let’s get to it, okay?

In a number of the steampunk cosplay pictures I looked through, there were people with steampunk prosthetic arms. I knew I wanted to try that on someone and that that someone would most likely be Red Rich. I don’t know what made him the preferred candidate, but he was. When it comes to the more generic mashup themes, I like to feature Red Rich in his three colours. It’s not super difficult (although predictably it does take much longer). I use two layers (colour and shading) for the things that won’t change from one costume to the next and then two layers for each colour. I hide and show the appropriate layers and save the picture three times. Usually, Blue Rich turns out to be my favorite version, but this time, I like Red Rich the best. What about you? Which one is your favorite? You can click on each individually to take a closer look at them.

There you have him folks! So with the main cast out of the way, who will be featured in the last steampunk mashup installment? You’ll have to come back next Wednesday to find out!

Wednesday. Mash-ups. Let’s do this!

Today we conclude our look at Li’l Animus. I think this round is the strongest of the three. I hope you agree. As always, click to embiggen.

First, we have Zoë taking a nap on her Popkin pillow. I originally had her climbing on top of a Popkin doll, but that way you hardly saw anything of Zoë, only her head, hands and feet. This concept worked much better in my view.

Next, we can see that even from a young age, Red Rich believed in colour-coordination. He also loved his blankie.

Finally, Deema appears ready for sleepies. It’s hard work being such a cutie!

That’s all for this week. New concept next time!
