One of the advantages to doing digital artwork is that when I draw big set pieces like the Fun ‘n’ Fantasy / Age of Animus crossover promo piece, I can “cheat” by breaking things down into smaller segments that I then cut and paste together. This makes everything much more manageable. Here then are the individual drawings that made up the whole:

Fab and Red Rich (I ended up going with Blue Rich over Red Rich because the black parts of Red Rich’s costume blended in with Fab’s hair)

The coon looked at himself in the mirror, “Truly I am a loveable rascal!” He turned to see himself in profile. “If ever there has been a fur as good-looking as I, I’ve yet to meet him. Yes, Richmond. Truly you were blessed by the deities.” He stood admiring his reflection for a good twenty minutes before finally turning away.

He picked a speck of dust from his neatly pressed chemise. “I need to look good, for today I meet with the lord.” He shook his head, smiling, “What am I saying? I cannot NOT look good!”

He was dressed in bright scarlet with a black leather sash across his chest, “One such as I, should never blend in the crowd.” A short black cape hung to his waist. His black gloves were half-tucked in his belt.

“And of course, the most important piece of my tenure,” He affixed a red domino mask over his eyes. It neatly covered the natural black mask around his eyes, but nothing more. “For no one must know that Richmond Raccoon is actually Red Rich, hero of the downtrodden!” He was not only a dandy, but also a dimwit.

He fastened his scabbard to his belt and took the opportunity to examine himself in the mirror once more from several angles. “Yes fur, you are ready!”

Valiantly he strode out of his simple dwelling…and was immediately splashed with mud by a passing carriage.
