InuYasha – Miroku

It’s mash-up o’clock!

Miroku is a traveling monk with an unfortunate curse that was passed down to him. His hand has a wind tunnel that will eventually consume him like it did his father and his grandfather before him. He joins with InuYasha and Kagome as they look for the shards of the Shikon Jewel, hoping that together they will be able to defeat the half-demon responsible for his curse.

Miroku is always flirting with the ladies (to put it mildly) so it made sense to have Big Oonch portray him. Miroku’s costume doesn’t lend itself to hiding the eyes, so I figured I’d use the Wind Tunnel effect to do so.

And here’s a look at the picture without the Wind Tunnel effect. His wig is still obscuring Oonch’s eyes we’ll say.

Flashback – Adelbert Steiner

Good afternoon Flashback Faithful! It’s that time again, so without further ado, let us do a-this!

Steiner is a knight. He’s Princess Garnet’s bodyguard and he’s also a world-class stick-in-the-mud. But once he trusts you he is completely loyal. You can’t ask for a better soldier.

Here’s Big Oonch playing the imposing Steiner. Oh boy! This was probably the one I was most worried about. I’m not going to say it’s great, but I do think it turned out okay.

Here’s a comparison to the original. The reason the original came out as good as it did is because I cheated on the dimensions (as I often did back then). So Oonch comes out WAY wider than he should. I respected Oonch’s proportions a lot better in the remake so it feels more like Oonch.

Good afternoon! Finished colouring this morning before work, posting now after workout. This, despite having the drawing ready for colouring since last Thursday. Yeah, I dragged my feet a bit on this one.

Mullin Shetland is a musketeer of Anatoray. He has a crush on Lavie…and on Tatiana…and on…

Here’s Big Oonch as Mullin. His uniform’s headgear lent itself well to hiding Oonch’s eyes. And then I remembered that Mullin is always looking for love throughout the series. Yeah, Oonch was definitely the right pick!

R.O.D. the TV – Sonny Wong

Two days late, good morning! I managed to not prepare any posts on Monday and didn’t fix it until Friday morning! Huzzah for me!

Sonny Wong is that shadowy figure you know isn’t a good guy so when he turns out not to be a good guy you’re not at all surprised. He wears sunglasses indoors! Sounds perfect for Oonch!
