A lot of years ago, when Deema was still really little, Deema lived with Deema’s Poppa in Seton. Deema never saw Deema’s Momma because Deema’s Momma died when Deema was a baby. Deema’s Poppa was a fisher-scaley. Deema’s Poppa worked hard to earn Shinies for Deema’s Poppa and Deema. Deema’s Poppa bought Deema Deema’s first tinker tool set, because Deema likes buttons and tinkers can have lots of buttons.

One day, wild furs attacked Seton. Deema’s Poppa helped the furs in Seton fight the wild furs away, but Deema’s Poppa died. Deema was sad that Deema’s Poppa died, but Deema was also brave.

Then, on another day, more wild furs attacked Seton. The wild furs dragged Deema away. The wild furs were going to eat Deema. But Deema didn’t want to be eaten! Deema screamed and kicked one of the wild furs in the chin. The wild fur sure didn’t like that! The wild fur howled angrily. That’s when Tomaw showed up.

Tomaw is a wolf ranger. Tomaw was patrolling like wolf rangers like to do when Tomaw heard Deema’s scream. Tomaw ran and arrived just in time to save Deema from getting hurt by the wild fur. Deema hugged Tomaw lots for saving Deema.

Tomaw used to live alone, because Tomaw was a lone wolf (hee hee, get it? Deema told a joke). But when Tomaw found out that Deema didn’t have a Poppa or a Momma, Tomaw brought Deema home to live with Tomaw. Deema was happy because Tomaw was a nice fur.

Tomaw moved around a lot because rangers always move lots. Deema was sad at first because Deema had to leave all of Deema’s friends behind, but Deema met a lot of new friends, so it was sorta okay.

When Deema and Tomaw lived in Bree, Deema met Wrench Rabbit. Wrench Rabbit showed Deema lots about tinkers. Wrench Rabbit says that Deema is a really good tinkerer. Deema is proud, because Deema thinks that Wrench Rabbit is the best tinkerer there is.

Right now, Deema lives in Sunnyvale with Tomaw. Sunnyvale is where the Mouse Wingers live.. Deema met a Mouse Winger called Mouse Girl. Mouse Girl is Deema’s name for Zoë. Mouse Girl thinks that Deema doesn’t know Mouse Girl’s real name, but Deema does. Deema just like Mouse Girl better than Zoë. Deema would like to fly with the Mouse Wingers. Mouse Girl told Deema that maybe someday Deema can fly with Mouse Girl if Mouse Girl finds a bird big enough.

Tomaw says that Tomaw and Deema will be moving to the Crimson Coast soon. Deema hopes that Mouse Girl can find a bird big enough for Deema to fly before Deema moves!

It’s that time of week again when pop culture and Age of Animus are on a collision course that produces super awesomeness. It’s time for the Wednesday Mash-up.

Today we go back to the Marvel Universe to complete our look at the Avengers line-up. For those of you who didn’t see part one, you can go back through the artwork archives or click here.

First up, we have the mauve archer, Cooneye, played by the one and only Red Rich, wearing a special purple mask for the occasion. It’s a shame purple isn’t one of the three colours I chose for him because he looks good in it.

Moving right along, we come to Iron Cat, played by the ever cute, Sass. Her distinctive head shape makes it so that I can cover her face with a helmet and you still know instantly who it is…but I drew her without the mask on anyway.

Rounding out the heroes is the mouse running the show, Zo Fury rocking the eye patch and trench coat. Unfortunately, it was the least intricate design, so there’s some pizzazz missing.

And last but not least, is the villain of our piece, played as is custom by Todrick: that manic god of mischief, Loki.

That’s it for this week. I have no ideas yet for next week, so it’ll be a big surprise for all of us.

Welcome back to the Wednesday Mash-up. Last week we saw the Animus gang gear up as members of the Joe squad. This week, we see what happens when they join the ranks of Kitty. Yeah, I changed Cobra to Kitty. More on that later.

First, let’s take a look at the Kitty logo, sure to inspire cuteness in the hearts of men.

First is Nektara as the Bear-oness. Surprisingly, I came up with the name pun AFTER I decided to cast Nektara as the Baroness and not the other way around. It was while I was drawing her that I decided I would change the logo. But the Kitty logo was not the original logo I drew.

Originally, Todrick was going to be Fox (Cobra) Commander and Sass was going to be Sasspentor. That was the plan when I drew Bear-oness so I drew a fox logo on her (which I didn’t really like). Then as I went along, I decided that Todrick would make a better match for Serpentor as Vulpintor, so the Cobra Commander role went to Sass.  It made more sense to call her Kitty Commander, and that’s when I changed the logo to the cat one. Anyway, here’s Kitty Commander.

You’re probably thinking Vulpintor is next, but I finally decided that since I don’t especially LIKE Serpentor, I wasn’t going to use him. Instead, Todrick got cast as Dr. Noggin-knocker.

Kitty couldn’t do without a world-class tinkerer to build new weapons. They had to settle for Destryan.

Fortunately, they have Scrap-Oonch to pick up some of the slack (chosen specifically for his eye-covering mask). I drew Oonch first, before I thought of changing the Cobra logo, so originally he had a stylized cobra like Scrap-Iron’s on his helmet. I later had to go back and colour over it so I could draw the stylized kitty in its place.

Redtan is the Kitty master of disguise. Unfortunately, his idea of a disguise is changing the colour of his mask!

Zo-rana is much better at disguising herself, but her everyday-wear makes her easy to pick out in a crowd.

Finally, there’s Major Barnabludd, with his bionic arm. I can’t seem to resist giving Barnaby a mustache.

Stormshadow didn’t make the cut for the same reason Snake-Eyes didn’t make the cut last week. Their masks obscure too much of the faces, making it less obvious who’s underneath the mask (and I don’t particularly care for ninjas).

That’s all for this week. Next week, I’ll go back and finish the Avengers. I promise!
