Hello and welcome to another Wednesday Mash-up (on Wednesday!) Let’s get to it!

Tbe Metal Gear franchise started out on the original Nintendo Entertainment System, but it was Metal Gear Solid on the Playstation that really catapulted the franchise’s popularity. I have never once played any game in the franchise. I just picked it because it’s a popular game that I thought folks might recognize.

Here’s Big Oonch as Solid Snake. I really had to cheat with his proportions for the costume to work. I’m not super happy with the way the piece turned out. It’s okay, but I’ve definitely done better. That’s why I pushed it ahead in the queue to get it out of the way.

Metal Gear Solid

That’s all for this week. Which video game franchise will be featured next? You’ll have to come back next week to find out!

The week progresses! Yes, she progresses. Soon, it will cease to be Wednesday and we will be one day closer to Friday. But for now, let us have fun with a mash-up.

Clerics are the life blood of any party. I can scarcely even imagine going on an adventure without one. Healing is that important. In DDO you can buy hirelings from almost every class, but if you’re soloing, you really need a cleric to keep you alive (unless you’re a cleric yourself). I would be hard-pressed to tell you the names of most of my D&D characters. One that stands out clearly in my mind is Melina the cleric. I decided to give her an attitude and really played up the snottiness. She was engaged in a bitter rivalry with Fab’s NPC party member(Curse you Oonchers!). Well, she was bitter about it. Oonchers just said “Well” a lot and went about his business. I tried to be as creative as possible with her spells and had a lot of fun playing her. If I’m not mistaken, she was the last D&D character I played as we haven’t had a campaign since that one ended.

I picked the cleric class for Big Oonch because I figured I could use a helmet to hide his eyes. Big Oonch named after Fab’s cat who was also the namesake of an NPC who was a rival to my favorite cleric character. Coincidence? I think so! Other than the shield being held at a ridiculously awkward angle, I like the piece.

That’s all for this week. Next week, we continue our delve (a dungeon delve if you will) with another class. Find out which next Wednesday!
