Flashback Friday – The Flash

Hello Flashback Friday Fans. I totally spaced out this morning and forgot to post this week’s edition and I’ve been out all day. Hopefully the wait will have been worth it.

This week is a superhero week. As always click on a picture you want to see close up.

Cyran got another DC costume back in the beginning. The first was Batman and the second was the Flash. You saw Batman a few weeks ago. Now it’s time for the fastest bunny alive. To change things up, like I did for the Green Arrow flashback, I chose the costume from the current Flash TV show.

And here’s the comparison to the original mash-up. It was one of my favorites of that set because of the idea I had to use Cyran’s ears as a substitute for the lightning bolts on the sides of his mask. I obviously reused the idea in the remake.

Flashback Friday – Yoda

Hello Flashback Friends. It’s Friday, isn’t it wonderful? I’ve been ready for Friday since Tuesday and finally it’s here. The first step towards having a good Friday is to do a flashback and here’s mine!

It’s already Star Wars time again. That was quick. I have quite a few repeat themes coming up as we enter the final stretch of flashbacks. As always, a click will enlarge the picture.

Deema as Yoda came about since Yoda is green and so is Deema. Not very deep reasoning huh? In case it’s not entirely clear from the picture, she’s wearing fake ears with plastic wraps that rest on her antennae.

Flashback Friday – Nick Fury

Happy Halloween everybody! Y’all ready for some candy? Well, let’s start with some candy for the soul: a flashback of course!

It’s time for the Avengers to assemble once again. As always, click on a picture to enlarge it.

Zoë got the short end of the stick in the Avengers mash-ups. I ran out of characters and set her as Nick Fury who didn’t have a very exciting costume. In retrospect, even Agent Maria Hill’s costume (which Deema wore when I added her later) was better. She was also drawn last that night, which meant I wasn’t as into it as I was some of the others. This time around, the result is better, if still a little bland.

Flashback Friday – See-Threepio and Artoo-Detoo

It’s Friday morning. I ate too much last night and slept poorly. Fortunately, I know the perfect remedy: Flashbacks! Let’s go!

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…it’s a Star Wars flashback. It’s been a while, huh? Remember to click on a picture for a close-up. I think it’s worth it this week.

Sass had to be Threepio because she wouldn’t let anybody else touch a costume made of Shinies. Of course, that meant Mouser would have to be Artoo. I am so very happy with how this one turned out. The colouring is some of my best work yet.

Every time I finish colouring a mash-up, I like to see how it looks without the line work. I thought the Sass piece looked kinda nifty so I wanted to share it.

Flashback Friday – Enterprise

Hey diddle diddle to folks with a fiddle and a fine howdy-doo to the rest of ya! It’s Friday morning and time for everybody’s favorite feature, Flashback Friday! Let us flash on the past, okay?

This week’s flashback takes us to Earth’s future. That’s right it’s a Star Trek week. Remember to click on pictures that you want to enlarge.

The Star Trek theme started out strong, but near the end, I ran out of different uniforms to use. For Nektara I chose to use the uniforms worn in Enterprise, the prequel of sorts. The uniform is mostly just a basic blue jumpsuit, nothing flashy. Not a lot of fun to draw. Oh well, it’s done now.
