Greetings and salutations friends! It is that time of the week again! Ready to mash genres up? I am!

Lavie and Klaus follow a crashing vanship. The pilot is badly wounded and one of the passengers is dead. She was protecting a little girl who is the key that the Guild is looking for. Lavie and Klaus take over the dying pilot’s contract to deliver Alvis, or Al as they come to call her, to safety. This is just the start of their adventure together.

Here is Zoë as Al. She’s carrying Lavie’s goat plushie. Once again, a character has hair done up in buns with covers. It had to be Zoë! I think it turned out cute.

That’s all for this week. Who will be featured next week? It’s a surprise! Come back next Wednesday to find out!

You know that feeling when you have Monday off and then it’s Tuesday but it FEELS like Monday and then you realize, “Hey! It’s already Tuesday!”? It’s a really good feeling. Less of a good feeling is, “Oh right! I forgot to pre-post my stuff on the real Monday, so now it’s late!” Fortunately, this goes up on Wednesday so it’s going to go up on time! And now, on to the mash-up!

Lavie is a navi. Navigators, or navis, sit behind the pilot in a vanship and takes care of secondary ship functions and of course, telling the pilot where to go. Lavie and Klaus grew up together and learned to fly together. While Klaus is the idealist with his head in the clouds, Lavie is the level-headed character who keeps everything in order. She’s great!

Here’s Nektara as Lavie. I could have drawn her in Lavie’s flight suit, but it would have been a copy of what I did for Todrick as Klaus. The belly shirt is what she’s wearing in probably the most iconic Last Exile publicity shots. I have a wall scroll of it on my wall.

That’s all for this week. Next week we’ll check in with the key to Exile. See you next Wednesday!

Mash-up time!

I warned last week that I was probably finished with R.O.D. the TV and I am. I normally try to space out the genres so I don’t follow up one anime series with another. However, I really had Last Exile on the brain and was anxious to get into it, so here it is.

Todrick didn’t get to appear in the last theme, so he’s first up this go around and as the main protagonist of the series. Claus is a vanship pilot and this is Todrick wearing the flight suit.

That’s it for this week. Next week, we’ll take a look at Claus’ navi. See you next Wednesday for the reveal!

Hello readers old and new! It’s time for another mash-up so let’s get to mashing.

Drake Anderson is an American soldier who gets involved with the British Library. That’s how he meets Agent Paper. Their paths cross again in R.O.D. the TV. But are they friends or foes?

Here’s Barnaby as Drake. It’s serviceable. I won’t be pointing to this as my best work for sure. The gear is just too drab to do anything fun with.

That’s all for this week. This is probably the last R.O.D. mash-up. I haven’t drawn any more. I can’t find good reference shots for characters for Red Rich and Todrick to play. So most likely next Wednesday will be something new unless I find some.

Hello and good Wednesday? to you! Thanks for checking in for another mash-up! Let’s get right to it!

Wilhemina Weasel is involved in her longest story arc in the Funnies AND she’s getting her first mash-up? I think she’d agree that things are definitely coming up Mina!

*ahem* What I would say is that it’s about time! Things will be coming up Mina when every story arc is about me and I’m in every mash-up!

Right. I apologize for trying to put words your mouth. Can we agree that one small step for Mina is a benefit for all furkind?

I can totally get behind that.

I thought you might. And with that, let’s get to it.

When we find Agent Paper again, she’s with Nancy. How did that happen and why is Nancy different than before? You’ll have to watch R.O.D. the TV to find out! For now, here’s Mina as Nancy. I chose to use Nancy’s get-up from Read or Die because she pretty much just wears mundane clothes in R.O.D. the TV. I did adapt it to be a little less risqué though.

That’s all for this week. Something new is coming next Wednesday!

Remember to keep writing in to ask for Mina! Together we can create a better world!

Stop that!
