You know how Wednesdays are totally cool because they have mash-ups? Yeah, I know! Right?!! Well, it’s time! Let’s go!

This week begins my look at The Guild.

Zoë is Tink. Because of the last minute Rocketeer mash-up last week, she got bumped up a week. Neat huh? I like how the fur linings on her costume worked out. Zoë’s big ears make giving her hairstyles a challenge. I still have a little trouble getting legs/feet to look like they go together. I like how the right leg looks by itself. I like how the left leg looks by itself, but something about the two together looks off. Parallel curves are also a problem of mine because I draw the first one and it looks good, but I can never get my hand to replicate the smooth motion and the second curve comes out all jerky or it strays WAY too wide. Zoë’s tail usually suffers for it, but this one turned out alright.

So that be it for this week. More Guild-y Goodness next week!

Wednesday isn’t pronounced like it’s spelled but I’m sure you’d noticed that already. Just making small talk before the mash-up!

I’ve said it before (maybe not here), and I’ll say it again (here): I really like the Rocketeer. That’s all the reason I need to make a mash-up of him, right? Right!

I picked Red Rich to play the Rocketeer because he’s the only cast member with rocket pack flying experience. That goes a long way. Why did I go for a shot where he’s not wearing the helmet OR the rocket pack? Well, I learned that when it comes to helmets, if they cover the face, then I may as well forget calling it a mash-up because other than the tail (in some cases), you can’t tell who’s wearing it. As for the rocket pack, unless I draw an over the shoulder shot (like I did for Bunwick a few weeks ago), you’re just not going to see much of it. With that in mind, my first sketch did have Red Rich holding the helmet under one of his arms and wearing the rocket pack, but it felt too clunky so I started over with this pose where you could say that Red Rich is a fan dressed up as the Rocketeer getting his picture taken with the iconic helmet and rocket pack. I feel it’s a much better piece for it. As always, click on Red Rich to make with the bigness.

That’s it for this week! Next week will be something I’ve previewed on Facebook.

Hey! Did you know it’s Wednesday? I was kinda hoping it was Thursday to be honest. But that would have meant I missed the Wednesday Mash-up so it’s good that it isn’t…for now.

The title says it, this is the last of the Slayers mash-ups. I broke the trend of using the names of the different Slayers series as titles, but I could totally see a series called Slayers Last.

The last character featured in this set is Sass playing Sylphiel Nels Lahda.

Sassia

Hope you enjoyed the Slayers set! Next week we move on to something else! What? Well, you’ll have to come back to find out right? See you then!

Hey! You’re back! Just in time for a new mash-up! What great timing on your part right?

So this week is the penultimate Slayers mash-up. With a build-up like that, saying any more would be anticlimactic. So, click on da piccy to make biggy.

This week, we have Deema dressed as Amelia Wil Tesla Seyruun. A mouthful right? Deema’s cheerful disposition seemed a good fit for Amelia who’s always really peppy in the show. It rarely occurs to me that tails should naturally come down from under the skirts or tunic overhangs, but it did this time…as I was colouring the piece. That required a quick re-inking to fix.

If this was the penultimate Slayers, I think you know what’s up for next week…see you then!
