Wednesday is here! Happiness and cheer! For it’s Mash-up time again!

Hermione is the smartest witch of her generation. If it weren’t for her, Harry would be dead many times over and Voldemort would be ruling supreme. I think she’s my favorite character in the series. Pretty sure.

Here’s my bookworm, Nektara, dressed up as the quintessential wizarding bookworm, Hermione. The robes are a redux of the robes Todrick was wearing as Ron in the last one, but the school uniform underneath is different. I think this one turned out kinda cute.

It’s Wednesday, people! Time for a mash-up!

Here we have Todrick as Harry’s best friend Ron. I drew this without the red hair and I couldn’t help but feel there was something missing. So 30 minutes ago I drew in and coloured the hair. Despite being a rush job, I think it adds something to the picture. I think I let too much of the ears peek through the wig though. This might not be the final version of this.

Welcome back friends! It’s time to start the new mash-up theme! Are you excited? Well you’ve read the title, so I guess there’s no surprise by the time you reach the end of this sentence huh? Maybe I could cast an obliviate charm to make you forget until you get to the end of THIS sentence and then you’d be surprised! Sounds like a lot of work though. Learning spells. I’ll just pretend you were surprised. Play along.

So Harry Potter…I thought about doing this theme years ago and I sort of wrote it off because at the time it felt like everybody would just be wearing variations of black robes. But I watched the reunion special and that put me in the mood to watch all the movies again so I binged them in a week. Come Saturday, I was trying to think of a theme and this was fresh on my mind so…here we are. I’m not going to commit to a full set of eleven drawings. I can think of four worth doing for sure. After that, we’ll see how it goes.

We start with Cyran as Harry Potter. And right off the bat, I found something other than a black robe to draw. I was looking at some art online and there was Harry in his Quidditch gear and I thought that works. And now Cyran has some new broomstick attachments for his wrench. Neat huh?

InuYasha – Koga

Hey hey it’s the wolfies! And wolfies really like wolfing food down! Yeah, that’s the intro I’m going with this week. Let’s get to the mash-up.

Koga is the leader of the wolf demon tribe. He’s a rival to InuYasha through and through but they end up helping each other. He feels very much like the Ryoga to Inuyasha’s Ranma. He gets points from me on that alone, but I haven’t seen a lot of Koga to know more than that.

Wolf tribe…feels like I should have given this one to Tomaw, but then I would have had to add another character. Most likely, I would have added Hachiemon, who’s a tanuki, which I feel I would have had to give to Red Rich, and that means Cyran would have gotten Sesshomaru, which I don’t think would have worked as well. So a rabbit is playing a wolf. Because yes, here’s Cyran as Koga. But Cyran commits to any part given. He even dyed his ears to match his wig so it would look like Koga’s ponytail!

That’s it for the InuYasha theme. Looking back, it’s not a strong set, but it’s better than I thought it would turn out after the first piece so I’ll take comfort in that. Now I have to decide what to do next. I really have no idea. I’ve got a few days to decide.

InuYasha – Kanna

Well, well, well! You’re back for another mash-up eh? Awesome! Let’s get to it!

Kanna is Kagura’s sister sort of? They’re both incarnations of Naraku. She doesn’t hate Naraku like Kagura does. Her weapon is a mirror which absorbs attacks and souls.

Here is Zoë as Kanna. Not a whole lot of colour in this one as Kanna wears a white robe and has white hair. I gave it a little bit of a blue tint just so it would stand out. Zoë’s ears often present an interesting challenge to fit in with hairstyles or helmets. I think this one turned out kinda cute.
