Hiya folks! It’s that time of the week again when we look at pictures inspired by my favorite pieces of pop culture! It’s the Wednesday Mash-up!
This week marks the conclusion of the Krull theme of mash-ups! I hope you all enjoyed them!
Another character is having his mash-up debut in this theme. This week it’s Crismus’s turn. Here he is as the Emerald Seer.
That’s it for this week. I’m sure you’re anxious to find out what the next theme is. Well you only have one more week to wait to find out! See you next Wednesday!

So sleepy.
Last night was Wrestlemania 30 (or as Fab called it “Luchamania”). It was the first wrestling PPV we watched together in years! Also joining us for her first wrestling show was Lyne. Daniel Bryan finally got his moment and it was the end of an era as, in the shocker of the evening, the Undertaker’s undefeated streak came to an end at the hands of Brock Lesnar. My man Cesaro won the inaugural Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royale in grand fashion by bodyslamming Big Show (a man who’s billed as weighing in excess of 450 lbs) over the top rope. It was a fun time.
Less fun was what happened on my way home after the show. Fab lives at the bottom of a hill and I live at the top. As I was walking up, I could see smoke coming from the general direction of my neighbourhood. Now, I’m not at all in shape, so there was no way I was going to be able to RUN up the hill, but I did walk faster than usual. Third avenue was blocked off by the emergency vehicles so I had to walk around the scene before I could confirm that it was the duplex on the next street that was on fire and not my house. Past midnight the firefighters were still working on the scene. Quite scary for me, but nowhere as scary as I imagine it was for the people who lived there.
These two events combined made for a short night and thus my fatigue today.
Earlier in the day we went to see Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It was a solid movie that I greatly enjoyed. Even though we saw Cap in Avengers, this was the movie that really brought Captain America into the modern era. It also bodes well for Agents of SHIELD which has mostly been a disappointment this season. Things are going to get intense!

The date is Friday. Actually, it’s Thursday but this won’t be posted until tomorrow when it will in fact, be Friday, a day of flashbacks.
Captain America is coming out this weekend and I’m doing a Marvel flashback. It’s almost like I planned this. Now if I had planned this WELL, I’d have done my Captain America flashback. But hey, Black Widow is in the movie so it still works! As always, click on a picture if you wanna enlarge it.
Finding the right pose is always a challenge. I don’t want the characters to just be standing there, but I want the details of the costume to be mostly visible. I went through a lot of Black Widow pictures (Scarlett Johansen is pretty) and finally settled on one where she was in a sort of martial arts battle stance. I just turned it a little so that we can see Nektara’s face.
Here’s the comparison piece with the original mashup.
Next week is a Star Wars flashback! Come back next Friday to see which one!
