Hello Top Men and Top Women. It’s time to write things!

On Friday night after gaming I sat down to draw a mash-up. Nothing special there. It went super well and I got all the way to colouring it. I then stopped and went to bed. On Saturday I went out to a local anime mini-con and then off to Les Dés Truqués for a day of gaming. I got home and my computer had reset after an update. I didn’t think much of it. Sunday was more of the same with a visit to my mom for Mother’s day and then back to Les Dés Truqués for a couple of hours. On Sunday night I sat back down to finish shading last week’s mash-up which I had been putting off and then went to shade the one I’d drawn on Friday…only it wasn’t there. So it turns out I hadn’t saved it at any point in drawing, inking or colouring it. And MyPaint doesn’t keep any quicksaves so the work was lost. Disappointed I redrew and coloured the mash-up. All that’s left if the shading, just like last time. I don’t know that it’s better than the first one, but I did save it this time.

I got my first box of the Star Wars Destiny expansion today. I say first because I will no doubt buy more to get more of the cards and dice I didn’t get. I don’t have a complete set of the first set and I’m unlikely to do so without plunking down the cash for the dice I’m missing which isn’t really appealing so this may be a game I don’t go full completionist on. I did get Palpatine, which is cool because I figure he’s going to be one of the money dice. My other legendary dice were kind of disappointing. The set has a Rogue One theme going on and since I wasn’t crazy about the movie, I’m not super crazy about the set. I look forward to seeing more interesting stuff in the next set…like an Ewok maybe?!!!
