Hello if you hear me!

Last night at long past midnight, I heard and felt something pounding out on the street in front of my house. At the intersection, there was a construction crew working away at digging up the street. I can only surmise that it was an emergency water pipe repair because otherwise, what the heck? When I went to bed some time later they were still at it. When I woke up this morning, they were gone. Very odd.

I tried Dragon Castle with my mom on Friday. It was not the success I had hoped. I thought the Mah Jongg aspect might appeal to her but it didn’t hook her in. She’s not averse to trying it again, but I think she’d only be doing it for my sake. I’ll need to keep looking for a game to work into our rotation.

Speaking of Friday, I worked my last Friday of the summer last week. I’m on my reduced schedule of three-day work weeks through July and four-day work weeks through August. It’s nice to have some long weekends ahead.

I thought there was something else I really wanted to write about this week, but I’m drawing a blank so I think I’ll stop and wish you all a good seven and we’ll see what I think of for next Monday. Carja v.

Hello mash-up fans. It’s time for a mash-up because that’s what we do on Wednesdays.

I’m going to skip directly to the mash-up.

Tomaw’s here for one of his rare mash-up appearances as Thane of the Wolf Clan. I figured I had a wolf character, so I had to use him to depict the main wolf from the game. The hilt of his sword is crooked compared to the sword (a common problem when I draw swords) but the rest I feel is pretty solid.

That’s all for this week. Next Wednesday, Armello continues.

The blog is being written,
Soon it will be read.
Who knows what thoughts
Will go through my head?

Why write in verse?
I really do not know.
But today it would seem
The way words want to flow.

The weekend draws to a close,
Three days have passed,
I sure hope the work week
Will go by as fast.

We sat by the campfire
on Saturday night,
After the rain, we were warmed
By the flames burning bright.

On Sunday I drew
The strips for the week,
My software was buggy
My ire did it it pique.

The Amello set
Of mash-ups is drawn
The colouring remains,
Before I can move on.

If all goes to plan,
Soon I will play,
Star Wars the RPG
At Les Dés Truqués.

I asked if there was interest
And it turns out there is.
Will anybody show up?
The question that remains ’tis.

That was a tough one.
And kind of a cop out.
Rhyming is with ’tis
Is nothing to be proud ’bout.

I think it’s a sign,
When the word play gets so bleak,
To say have a good seven folks,
We’ll do this again next week.
