Hello and happy Saturday flashback fans. It’s time.
Bret Hart didn’t really register with me back when he was a member of the Hart Foundation with Jimmy Hart and Jim Neidhart. A notable exception was a match he fought against Macho Man as part of his feud with the Honky Tonk Man. It was a great match and a sign of what Bret could really do in the ring. As a face, he put on incredible matches with some of the biggest heels in the company. And he was Canadian to boot! Sadly his career ended prematurely due to concussions suffered in the ring and compounded by a stroke.
Here’s Red Rich, or should I say, Pink Rich as Bret. Hands held out is the pose I most associate with Bret so that’s what I went with again here. Rich looks good in pink.
Here’s a comparison to the original. The most notable problem with the original are the ears and the paws. The lines are shaky, but overall it was a decent piece for the time.
That’s all for this week. More wrestling fun next Saturday!
